When dad was younger he was fascinated with trains and went on to do train spotting. This interest would go on to wanting to make a train model. Eventually, he began to have ideas to make his train model and he did begin to create the model.
Dad put a lot of effort into his train model and the design became a reality. The model wouldn't just fill a small table or a large work bench. He decided to make his model in the loft. But, not just on one side or half of the room, dad made his model fill most of the loft. It goes around the outer sides of the room and down the middle too.
He made sure that it had a lot of detail. Some of these details include going through tunnels, passing countryside scenes that included different looking trees, different trains, station stops, and many other details. He built the control panel that is in the part of the model that goes down the middle of the room so he could see and get to each area of the model. It looks complicated to me but it definitely allows him to use and have a good view of the model to get as much pleasure from it.
