Dad and mum have both always worked hard to provide us with a better and comfortable life. For a long time, dad had two jobs. The job he had on a weekend was at a paper factory that produced many different types and sizes of drawing and writing pads. This always allowed me to fulfill my passion for drawing and sketching whilst growing up and I still feel really good that our dad always tried to give me the chance do my drawing.

On occasions we went to the paper company and on one occasion, I would stay there with dad whilst mum and Ian would go out for the day. This day I really really wanted to stay there with dad to see what it was like and help him when it was safe to. I remember it was on a nice day, but as the afternoon went on, you could feel the colder temperature more because it was a big space and not much heating on. But this didn't bother because I got to spend some time with dad and this always feels nice to think about.

During his time there dad made friends with the people and two in particular one of them being the owner of the paper company. Dad set up his own small business with them and they called it 'Papertrace'. It was a nice little business to try and they did ok with it. Luckily, they made enough profit before they finished it to get back slightly more than what it cost them to start it. Also, dad would utilize my art skills and asked me to design some business cards and a magazine advert for him. I always have fond memories about doing that for dad :)
